The band was founded by singer/guitarist Joseph King, who after 7 years as a respected songwriter and frontman in the Austin music scene, moved to New York City in October of 2005 to cleanse his creative palate and begin work in a new musical direction. Deadbeat Darling has been playing select dates throughout New York City, selling out clubs in the Lower East Side, Brooklyn and Chelsea. The band has recently finished its debut release with producer/engineer Chris Coady (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blonde Redhead, Grizzly Bear). The 4 song EP, titled “Belle Epoch”, was released in late September to a fervent reception from their buzzing fanbase….
