For the first time on screen, martial arts superstars Jet Li (Fearless, Once Upon a Time in China) and Jackie Chan (Rush Hour, Drunken Master), pair up in the same film, with action choreographer Woo-Ping Yuen (The Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), to bring audiences The Forbidden Kingdom.
Shot entirely on location in China, The Forbidden Kingdom tells the tale of a 21st Century American teenager, played by Michael Angarano (Lords of Dogtown, Seabiscuit) who takes a spellbinding, dangerous journey into martial arts legend.
The new action/adventure epic was directed by Rob Minkoff (Stuart Little, The Lion King) and was written by John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo). The story is based on the traditional Chinese legend of the Monkey King.
The Forbidden Kingdom arrives in theaters April 18, 2008. Thanks Ed!
