As “The X-Files: I Want To Believe” world premiere invaded the Grauman's Chinese Theater which also closed down Hollywood, Blvd, there was an Asian American red carpet invasion. Coming from the reality show world, Jamie Chung of “The Real World San Diego” fame has landed into the bona fide acting world with her new ABC Family TV showed called “Samurai Girl.”
This past few weeks, Chung has been on a whirl-wind tour of promoting the series which included the red carpet of “The X-Files” premiere. Dressed in a creamed 1 pieced dress, Chung strutted her stuff like she's been a pro on the carpet for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't get much of a response while taking photos as I shouted, “How's the Samurai Girl?” Hmm, seems to me that she's concentrating on posing.
As for her show, Chung plays Heaven, a adopted daughter to a wealthy and powerful family. However, with that family is a hidden truth of their Samurai background. She must now take on the responsibility of avenging her brother's death.
The show will premiere on air September 5, 6, and 7 at 8pm et/pt on the ABC Family Network.
