We've all done it. We've been stuck behind a car going 15 miles under the speed limit only to quickly pass and see an Asian driver. Well, not all of us are bad drivers. “Good Asian Drivers” have proved that Asians are in fact good, if not amazing drivers. Kit Yan, a transgender slam poet and Melissa Li, a lesbian folkrocker, team up for a show that is progressive, edgy, and funny. They smash every stereotype out there while putting on a show you will never forget. Li and Yan debuted their combined talents as The Good Asian Drivers in 2008 when they embarked on a 12-week cross country road tour, driving through over 30 states and 20 major cities. They met hundreds of new fans all over the country united by the sharpness and spirit of Yan and Li’s words and music, often addressing queer/trans issues and Asian-American struggles.
