Our final exam project was announced recently, and we were informed that we had to create a CD case booklet for an artist or band. Not wanting to do something that the rest of the class would do or expect, I mulled it over while I was on my way home. After I popped on my CD player, it clicked: I would create a case cover for an album by my current favorite artist, Ayumi Hamasaki. Not only do I not have to worry about anyone else in the class duplicating my choice, they most probably don’t even know her, so by introducing her and her music to them, perhaps I will open some of them up to enjoying her as much as I have. Additionally, it has been fun, as well, to design a foldout case with Japanese styling in mind, and I’m looking forward to seeing the end results.
I’ll post the images when I’m finished.
