The International Cricket Council has announced that tickets for the cricket World Cup semi-finals and final will be sold to the public only through a ballot system that runs from Feb. 28 to March 6. The semi-finals will be played in Colombo and Mohali on March 29 and 30, respectively, and the final will be held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on April 2.
People who want to buy tickets need to fill in a public ballot application form when the system opens. Applicants are limited to two tickets, the ICC said in a statement Saturday. After submitting the form, applicants will receive a ballot confirmation number.
The draw will be made by computer on March 10 and successful applicants will be informed by email on March 11. If you have not heard from Kyazoonga (the official World Cup ticketing partner) by March 12, then you should assume your application was unsuccessful, the statement said.
