Hong Kong actress Sonija Kwok has confirmed that she will marry her Chinese action choreographer boyfriend Zhu Shao Jie at the end of this year instead of in April as they had planned, in a recent interview with Hong Kong media. “We did think about getting married in April but April is a bit of a rush for me, because a lot of things have not been settled.
“Besides, a lot of tabloids say I have a baby and rushing to get married. I want to prove there is not such thing,” said Kwok, adding that she plans to have children but will continue to work after getting hitched. The former Miss Hong Kong went on to reveal that she started going out with Zhu in September last year, after meeting on the set of the TVB drama “Palace”.
Over the next few months, Zhu and Kwok traveled together and got to know each other better. Zhu eventually presented Kwok with a diamond ring and proposed to her in front of his mother when they visited Zhu’s hometown Henan.
