I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing the “Legend” himself, Manny Pacquiao, who is scheduled to crush Shane Mosley on May 7th at the SOLD OUT MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The interview was held in Los Angeles at Pacquiao’s training center, Wild Card Gym where I managed to get a few questions in to the Phillipino Star in the midst of his stunning and awe dropping training session.
Interview with Manny:
ASIANCE: Does your wife ever get worried while you’re fighting in the ring?
Manny: Yes! But she believes in me and knows that I fight my best and I am just doing my job.
ASIANCE: What did you give up for lent?
Manny: Lent? I don’t understand… What is lent?
ASIANCE: Tell me about your upcoming album!
Manny: Yes it’s called ‘Sometimes When We Touch’. I am very excited to release it and it will be available sometime next week.
Interview with Freddie Roach
ASIANCE: What makes you believe that Manny will defeat Mosley?
Roach: Well he’s really passionate about this fight. A lot of people are saying that this is going to be an easy fight for Manny but he’s not taking this fight lightly. He knows it’s not going to be an easy fight.
ASIANCE: Do you think Manny’s had enough time and preparation for this fight?
Roach: This has been the best training camp we’ve ever had. There’s been no politics, no movies, no singing, no distractions… He’s been very focused and motivated for this fight.
ASIANCE: What’s keeping Manny from fighting Floyd Mayweather?
Roach: Floyd wants 100 million dollars. Believe us, we’ve made the offer to fight but he won’t come to the table.
ASIANCE: There’s a lot of rumors going around about Amir Khan and Manny getting the gloves together… will that ever happen?
Roach: I don’t think so… they have a lot of respect for each other and have a good friendship together. But you know what? You can never say never in this sport, and if you have a truck load of money, I’m sure it could happen!
