A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) First Sergeant was jailed on Tuesday for two weeks for taking a video of his girlfriend’s sister while she was bathing.
The 27-year-old bespectacled man, who told the court that he had been suspended from work since September 2010, was not named to protect the woman’s identity. While the 27-year-old sibling was bathing in her flat, he used a mobile phone to film her on July 11, 2010.
The SAF regular had stretched out his arm over the top of the door to record the video. But she spotted the mobile phone just as she was about to reach for her towel. The man quickly left the flat soon after she stepped out of the bathroom. The court heard that he has since deleted the video of the woman. For the offence, the man could have been jailed up to a year, fined or both.
