Kicking off fashion week was Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld’s (son of former vogue Paris Editrix Carine Roitfeld) opening for Outtara Watts: Vertigo which attracted over 1000 guests comprising a glamorous mix of the social, art and fashion worlds. Featuring fifteen large-scale paintings, Vertigo is the first major New York solo exhibition of Ouattara Watts in nearly five years. Yielding an unmistakable aesthetic that integrates traditional painting, native emblems, and collages of everyday materials, Watts has emerged on the international art scene over the last 25 years as a prolific painter whose work breathes fresh air into the Neo-Expressionist landscape.
