At the top of a sweeping staircase in Henri Bendel New York, a small group of people stand casually around a table. The room, known as The Niche Fragrance Landing, is lined with scented candles, and pretty vials. A dapper young gentleman steps out of the group to offer a warm greeting.
The gentleman, Fredrick Bouchardy, creator of Joya, a Brooklyn based design and fragrance house, makes quick introductions around the table before offering tea to his guests. For this occasion a rare group has assembled. Perfumer Rayda Vega, and author M.J. Rose have both come out to discuss the fruit of their collaboration: Ames Soeurs, the latest fragrance to be released by Joya Studio.
