Shamed celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander pleaded guilty in a New York City court yesterday to one count of a criminal sexual act, FoxNews.com reports.
Alexander, who once worked with the likes of Paris Hilton and Mary J. Blige, made the plea as part of a deal with prosecutors so that his victim could avoid having to testify.
The former America’s Next Top Model judge was sentenced to five years for admitting to sexually assaulting a woman he lured with promises of work as a model.
In 2008, Alexander, who professionally goes by Anand Jon, was convicted in a Los Angeles courtroom of sexually assaulting seven women and girls. He is currently serving 59 years to life in connection with the California conviction.
According to prosecutors, some of his alleged New York victims testified in the 2008 case.
