Singer and actor Rain, who joined the army in October 2011, will be discharged next week after completing his mandatory military service.
Before wrapping up his 21-month stint, he already signed a contract with Cube Entertainment to serve as his management agency, and has reportedly been working on his future plans.
Check out the countdown clock.
On July 4, the Ministry of National Defense stated that Rain will be discharged on July 10 as originally scheduled.
“The special investigation on the operation system of Defense Media Agency will continue into next week as there are still many things to confirm,” stated the Ministry of National Defense.
“We’ve come to the conclusion that Sergeant Jung (Rain) was not in the wrong for his actions on the day of the incident. He will be relieved of his duties on July 10.”
The Ministry of National Defense started a hardcore crackdown on PR agents after SBS’ In Depth 21revealed PR agents freely roaming around in casual wear and drinking alcohol after performing at an army concert. Se7en and Mighty Mouth’s Sangchoo were also caught entering massage parlors.
Rain, who was present at the concert event, was seen heading back to the motel after eating dinner with his colleagues.
