yeah good luck!!
Love Michelle but would never buy anything for Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign is charging supporters up to $2,700 to watch a figure skating competition with Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan.
The campaign event, first reported by CNN, will take place Saturday. Supporters will pay $500, $1,000, or $2,700 to watch the ISU World Figure Skating Championships alongside Kwan in Boston on Saturday evening. Kwan will greet supporters who attend the event and perhaps offer commentary.
According to the Clinton campaign’s official event page, tickets are currently sold out. Kwan, who won Olympic medals for figure skating in 1998 and 2002, joined Clinton’s campaign as a permanent paid staffer last year to work on surrogate outreach.
“It is definitely like worlds colliding, and I have to say it is my two loves,” Kwan said on Friday in regard to the event.
The fundraising event comes as the Clinton campaign tries to keep pace with primary competitor Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), whose campaign raked in $44 million in largely small-money contributions last month.
Other high-profile celebrities who back Clinton have also planned to appear at fundraisers to support the former secretary of state. George and Amal Clooney will headline two fundraisers for Clinton this month, one of which will take place at their Los Angeles estate. Supporters looking to attend the fundraiser at Clooney’s mansion will need to contribute as much as $33,400 each to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee.
