Speed Skater J.R. Celski
J.R. is the youngest of 3 sons born to Bob & Sue Celski. “J.R.” stands for John Robert which has great meaning for two special men in his life: Robert John Celski – his father and his Mom’s late brother, Al Mendoza Sabado, Jr. who was lovingly called “JR” by his five sisters. Thus the name “J.R.” given in honor of both great men. Born and raised in a disciplined army family, J.R. especially had his Dad and two older brothers to emulate.

Olympian Speed Skater Apolo Anton Ohno
Three-time Olympian Apolo Ohno has been the top short-track skater in the United States since 2001, when he became the first American to win the overall World Cup, for the 2000-01 season. Ohno has since won the overall title twice more, in 2003 and 2005. He also has won five Olympic medals, two gold, tying speed skater Eric Heiden for the most career winter medals by a U.S. man. Ohno has at least one medal in each of the Olympic distances: gold in the 500m; silver and bronze in the 1000m; gold in the 1500m; and bronze in the 5000m relay.by jaymie - January 31st, 2010

Ice Hockey Star Julie Chu
Forward Julie Chu is making her third Olympic appearance in Vancouver, looking to add to her silver medal from 2002 and bronze from 2006. Chu has been a member of the national team since 2001, winning the world title with the team in 2005, 2008 and 2009, in addition to world silver medals in 2001, 2004 and 2007. Chu led the 2009 tournament with 10 points and was named one of Team USA's top-three players. Chu lives in Blaine, Minn., as part of the women's residency program, and shares a townhouse with teammates Kerry Weiland and Karen Thatcher.

Olympic Ice Skater Mirai Nagasu
Mirai began skating at age five because her parents took her ice skating on a rainy day when she couldn't play golf. The Nagasus own a small sushi restaurant in Arcadia, Calif., ("The food is just as good as the Beverly Hills restaurants," says Mirai) and her family has struggled financially.
