Eli Klein Fine Art is proud to present the first solo exhibition in New York for Shen Shaomin, whose unique conceptual works will be on view at the Gallery from June 9 through July 14, 2010. The artist will be present for the opening reception on June 9 from 6 - 9 PM. Shen Shaomin's work will simultaneously be exhibited in Dead or Alive, curated by David Revere McFadden at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, as well as in the Sydney Biennale.
EK Projects is pleased to present five major black American artists: Rashawn Griffin, Whitfield Lovell, Senga Nengudi, Shinique Smith and Saya Woolfalk. This exhibition is the first group show in China dedicated to the work of black artists. The use of "Threads" in the exhibit's title reflects the longstanding use in the black community of the phrase "nice threads" to convey appreciation of one's choice of clothing.
