Aziatix is 1st Asian Am group to grace AOL Music’s homepage
Boyband, Aziatix, graced AOL’s Music homepage today, making them the first ever Asian American music group to do so.
The group’s “Slipping Away” video made the front page and they continue to have success both in the US and abroad in Germany, Australia, Canada, and South Korea.
This is not the first time Aziatix have made headlines. The handsome trio have also been featured on USTREAM and MSN Music’s front page. As their popularity grows, so does Aziatix’s exposure on mainstream Western sites, which have been traditionally dominated by American mainstream musicians. This is a huge step for the Asian American community as their artists continue their struggle in breaking into the dominant Western market.
Their album “Nocturnal” ranked in real time charts on Cyworld Music and has quickly risen up iTunes charts. The trio consists of Korean-Americans Eddie Shin, Flowsik and Nicky Lee.
