China Chow Returns for 2nd Season of ‘Work of Art’

China Chow will be returning as the host and judge for season two’s “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist.” The Bravo tv series will see 14 artists compete for the coveted solo show at the Brooklyn Museum and $100,000 cash.

The show is produced by Sarah Jessica Parker. Chow hosted the first season of the show, which has a similar format to Project Runway. In each episode, contestants are faced with the challenge of creating unique pieces in a variety of media such as painting, sculpture, photography, collage and industrial design. Contestants will be mentored by Simon De Pury, one of the art world’s leading figures.

Season two of the show will air October 12 on Bravo.

    This show looks like a riot! China Chow interviews well, except for the bit where she says “art is unnecessary.” Really, China? Unnecessary? I mean, what could be more necessary?
