Douglas Hannant Pink Collection

Opening fashion week on Wednesday was a sweet and well edited presentation of coutourier Douglas Hannant’s younger diffusion line. Loved by the ladies who lunch, Hannant is best known for his evening gowns that grace the black tie Palm Beach Hamptons set. Pink sets out to target their younger daughters who can appreciate their mother’s fine taste but have their own easy boho chic style. Douglas’ inspiration was “Upper East Side girl sewing her bohemian oats in Goa for the summer,” which sums up this collection in a nutshell. Crochet lace dresses were complemented by sunny bright separates and floral chintz print suiting, which can easily be spotted in Palm Beach, Mallorca, St Tropez or Goa.
