Freida Pinto and Riz Ahmed (Four Lions) play the class-crossing lovers, and much of the clip focuses on the two leads’ searing chemistry.

The story is an adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s novel Tess of the d’Urbervilles. It is Winterbottom’s third Hardy adaptation, after Jude and The Claim. It was shot in Jaipur and Mumbai, India, in early 2011 and premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

Trishna will premiere in the U.S. later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival and open in limited release on July 13.
