About 700,000 viewers tuned in on Thursday, to catch the debut episode of obstacle-based game show “Sasuke Singapore” on Channel 5, after the telecast of the National Day Parade.

The game show, Sasuke Singapore, puts contestants through a series of tough physical challenges to test their strength and determination. Adapted from the successful Japanese series of the same name, contestants have to maneuver around a difficult obstacle course where they’ll have to show agility, grit and might to get through to the finish.

The debut episode of “Sasuke Singapore” had also sparked intense discussion online, and made the show one of the top trending topics on Twitter the night it was broadcast.

While the show is off to a great start, subsequent episodes of “Sasuke Singapore”, which will be broadcast on at 8pm on Wednesdays from August 15, will apparently have even more thrills and spills in store for viewers.

Future episodes will see a slew of celebrity contestants like SEA games gold medallist Vincent Ng, actor Adam Chen as well as two models from local men’s magazine “FHM”, attempt to clear the course.

“Sasuke Singapore” airs every Wednesday, 8pm on Channel 5 or just take a look online.
