Last week, John Chu and his roommates were talking about the allegations against Richard Aoki and what they could mean in light of the 2012 election. Why Asian-Americans are, statistically, so apathetic toward politics. It got him thinking about how colors can sneakily begin to define us: Red and Blue, Black and White. And even Yellow.
Chu expressed these thoughts in a new poem, “Presidential RACE (The Other Color)”, about two of the three things you’re not supposed to talk about: Race and Politics.
