The Last & Final Beatles Burlesque Show!
I haven’t been able to post for a bit because I was busy with the final Beatles Burlesque show. I’ve been doing this monthly show for almost two years, and it’s been a hella of ride! What I enjoyed most from this experience is seeing how performers interpret their favorite Beatles tunes. With the closing of one show opens another new show which I am happy to say will happen during the week of Chinese New Year on Wednesday, January 23.
The show is called “Flowers of Shanghai” and will be a burlesque show with a dinner taking place at the lovely and elegant Duane Park in TriBeCa. The featured singer is Shien Lee, the creator of Dances of Vice. She will be singing all the classic Chinese music from Shanghai in the 20’s to 50’s such as Bai Kuang.
I will have the promotional flyer for this exciting event soon!
So, I guess my parents WERE right after all. I would embrace “my roots” at some point in my life. Damn them!
Here’s a clip from our Beatles Burlesque show. Enjoy!
