Fashion Week Lounges!

Even though fashion week is a whirlwind of shows and presentations with short breaks in between running from the Lincoln Center tents to downtown locales like Made by Milk, there were plenty of lounges abound for editors to relax, grab a cocktail, get a makeup touch up or a brief massage to make the 10 day marathon a bit easier. Here are highlights of some of the best.
At the rooftop of the Empire, the Daily Style Sessions provided manicures by Essie, makeup touchups, flowers by H Bloom, and jewelry styling by stella & dot. Lia Sophia offered editors a glimpse at their stellar collection that can be rocked on the red carpet or on this season’s newest Spring collections. My favorite was the timeless rock crystal statement necklace that complements any outfit with its neutral gradations and antique nickel setting.
The Goodness lounge by Renaissance Hotels atop the Museum of Art and Design was a peaceful respite between shows with manicures and makeup by Lancome, and refreshments by Kusmi Teas and Vita Coco water.
Further downtown, the hip and cool Made by Milk pulled out all the stops and pampered the guys which so often are overlooked during fashion week. The Blind Barber pop up shop by Gillette lounge on the 8th floor served stiff cocktails in between shows with free shaves and haircuts for guys. Downstairs in the basement was the rock n roll themed lounge by True Religion that served organic fresh juices, medical facials by Dr Colbert, massages, Minx manicures, and
