Ferris Bueller was MY BROTHER! And That’s NO (JO)KE!

Growing up with a younger brother who was more popular than Ferris Bueller was hardly a trip to Hollywood! 🙂 Being a science geek/nerd that I was in High School and HARDLY A TRIP TO HOLLYWOOD but rather to the Science Lab made living with the situation in a word, difficult.

I felt like every one was throwing a big parade down Fifth Avenue for him and that these very same people were all trying to rain on mine! 🙁

After a few years, I settled into my subservient position and learned to live with it if not thrilled to pieces about it. I will NEVER FORGET an incident on the school bus when it was jam packed and when out of nowhere someone said “hey that is Ferris Bueller’s sister!” All of a sudden, all of the fellow students on the bus made way in much the same way LIKE MOSES was parting the RED SEA! I couldn’t believe MY EYES! I was finally treated LIKE ROYALTY–A QUEEN BEE and LUVIN every minute of it! Of course, it was short-lived, kind of like Cinderella when her Fairy Godmother turned her Pumpkin into a Horse drawn Glass Carriage where she was wifted off to the Royal Ball! As soon as my scorpion brother got wind of the situation, he turned my carriage back into a pumpkin! 🙁

Now things are quite different! Although I am hardly a QUEEN BEE, I am hardly a CHURCH MOUSE, THANK GOD! We all learn from our unique experiences and the more you fall prey to punishment, the higher you rise from the ashes! AYE?
