August 7th is Worldwide Awareness Day about Korea’s ongoing cruelty toward dogs and cats, allowing them to be tortured and agonizingly killed for food under the banner of making men masculine when they eat dog and curing rheumatism when they drink cat juice.

On-going torture goes on for up to an hour because this is considered the only way to deliver first class dog meat. Cats are trussed for hours on end and then boiled alive. Small dogs are treated the same as cats.

Customers demand extreme torture and agonising pain so that at the moment of death massive amounts of adrenalin are coursing through the dog or cat’s body, making the meat tough; which is what they want.

Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese* people believe eating tortured dog meat makes men masculine. They falsely believe eating tortured cats or drinking Cat Tonic is a cure for rheumatism.

In S. Korea and Vietnam, while still alive and conscious, the dog would probably have been tied to a pole and repeatedly struck with an electric prod in the genital area, then strung up by his neck hanging as his killer tortured him, beating him with a baseball bat to start with, then burning his flesh with the blow torch as he wreathed in pain, conscious but unable to scream out because his whole body weight was hanging by his own neck, cutting off his vocal chords. They begin skinning the dog while it is still alive.

* China: dogs are usually killed in either of the following ways:

a) a large knife is plunged into the dog’s chest (not the heart), and the dog is left to stagger with the knife still inserted, then minutes later the killer goes back and sadistically slowly twists the knife causing blinding agony to the screaming dog (who is still conscious), as the killer stands on it’s legs. If the dog takes too long to bleed out, they usually pull out the knife and plunge it into the belly of the still live dog. It is horrific! They then begin skinning the dog while it’s still alive.

b) the dog is tied to a pole and the hind leg tendon is slashed with a large knife, causing shocking agony and crippling the screaming dog. After a few minutes a knife is plunged into the dog’s chest, similar to the above description and the dying dog is skinned while still alive.

c) the dog is held around the neck in heavy steel clamps and it is struck in the head with a baseball bat and then as it writhes in agony on the ground another blow is administered across it’s body, hitting vital organs causing more agony. As the dog continues to writhe for several minutes (to allow maximum pain), it is picked up and they begin skinning it alive.

Many of these dogs were stolen pets!
