Meet talented guzheng player Michelle Kwan from Vancouver, Canada. She’s been playing the instrument for 12+ years. The guzheng is a plucked zither, with 18 or more strings and movable bridges; early versions of it date back to China’s Warring States period (475 to 221 B.C.).

Michelle likes to branch out and use the guzheng to play other genres, like covers from Buckethead, John Frusciante, Daft Punk and Maroon 5.

Here she covers Guns n’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine”!!

If he ever wants to incorporate Asian heritage into any of his songs, this would be an incredible performance!

I like her homage to Axl Rose with the bandana. She’s really cute!
