Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra has been announced as the newest face

Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra has been announced as the newest face of Guess, making her the brand’s first Indian model.

The 31-year-old, who is best known as a Bollywood actress, stars in the brand’s new holiday campaign, which sees her striking sultry poses in the stunning black-and-white shots against the backdrop of a Mediterranean villa.

Miss Chopra, who won Miss World in 2000 at the tender age of 17, told WWD: ‘For a global fashion brand, for them to move their campaign into a global space, for me it’s an honor.’

Former Guess ambassadors including Kate Upton and the late Anna Nicole Smith both saw a boost in their careers after starring in the brand’s campaigns.

Miss Chopra told E! that she can easily see why she was picked as the new face of the fashion brand.

‘I’m pretty much quintessential Guess – feminine, the big hair, the big eyes, the doe-eyed look. I really do believe that women should always be feminine and beautiful and not skinny, but rounded.’
