Cover FX Celebrates its New Launch

You may know Cover FX from its line of treatment primers that give us that flawless finish. This September, they relaunched their packaging and logo and have developed a line of foundations, powders and concealers in over 30 colors that address the global beauty community, including shades that are a more precise match for different ethnic skin colors. After extensive research, they found that most skin tones fall into pink undertones; neutral, which has equal parts pink and yellow; and golden, which tends to be where Asian skin tones fall. Every product is formulated by Vic Casale, formerly the chief chemist at MAC Cosmetics and ensures that each product is free of parabens, fragrances, gluten, mineral oil and talc, while still having anti oxidents and emollients.

The Total Cream foundation is available in 28 shades and doubles as a concealer and foundation. For lighter coverage opt for the pressed mineral foundation available in 24 shades, rich in minerals and oil absorbing. The secret in giving dimensional coverage comes from using powder fine ground mica that gives a soft pearly glow that differs from the traditional flat talc typically used in powders.

For makeup that lasts all day without shine, the matte setting powder does the trick in light, medium, or deep. For a soft light diffusing finish, the illuminating setting powder extends the wear all day, available in light or medium.

For fall, Cover FX has partnered with DuPont to develop the first synthetic Naturafil fiber powder and foundation brushes, which have been proven to have the best powder pick up and release over synthetic or animal hair brushes.

Best of all, with their system, once you know your color number and undertone, it’s easy to find the right shade for setting powders and concealers.
