Nivea’s First Kiss of the Year

Though it’s only 2 months away, it’s never too early to think about what to do for New Year’s and where your first kiss will be. To celebrate kissable lips, Nivea is launching a nationwide Kiss of the Year Contest on Facebook—the Search for America’s Greatest Love Story. One lucky couple will Ring in the New Year with Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza on the NIVEA Kiss Stage in New York City’s Times Square and have their New Year’s Eve Kiss featured in Us Weekly! The Kiss of the Year Contest details are as follows:

SUBMISSION PERIOD: October 18th – November 7th
Starting October 18th, couples can log onto www.Facebook.com/NIVEAUSA to share their true love stories, a photo and the compelling reasons they deserve to be named NIVEA’s “Kiss of the Year” Couple.

JUDGING PERIOD: November 8th – November 25th
NIVEA’s panel of celebrity and expert judges, led by NIVEA Kiss Stage hosts Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza, will use their romance expertise to select three lucky couples that will advance to the finalist phase where the public gets to vote on Facebook for their favorite couple for this once in a lifetime experience. All three finalists will win a trip to New York City to appear on The Wendy Williams Show.

PUBLIC VOTING PERIOD: November 26th – December 16th
Starting November 26th, people across the country can view the three finalists’ compelling love stories and vote to choose their favorite couple to win the grand prize trip to Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

WINNER UNVEILING: December 31st
Following the public voting period, NIVEA’s panel of celebrity and expert judges will announce the lucky winning couple of the Kiss of the Year Contest on www.Facebook.com/NIVEAUSA

To kick off their contest, Nivea invited us to the R Lounge with a bird’s eye view over Times Square to test out their line of lip care products with a kiss of flavor, a kiss of shine, or pure & natural with added ingredients like honey or olive oil. The real treat was a trip up to the top of Times Square to see the New Year’s Eve ball lit in all its colorful splendor. Weighing in at 6 tons and completely covered in Waterford Crystal and LED lights, the massive ball was even more impressive in person.
