Cellulaze’s Breakthrough in Cellulite Treatment

Now that there’s only 2 more months left in 2012, we’re considering travelling to warmer climates this Winter season for Christmas and New Year’s. Then comes the New Year’s resolutions where weight loss always tops the list. One of the things that all women battle is cellulite, especially when we’re looking at bikini options for that winter getaway. Even though we may diet and exercise, the dimply deposits don’t disappear without the help of a little laser.

We had a chance to lunch with Dr. Grant Stevens who showed us the benefits of the breakthrough technology, Cellulaze that treats cellulite with an FDA approved laser treatment.

Cellulaze is the only minimally invasive laser procedure designed to reduce cellulite beneath the skin. It delivers long-lasting results after only one short treatment and achieves the best results for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite on their thighs.

The secret is that the tip of the laser can bend, thereby melting the fat cells beneath the skin while breaking the cell walls that create the dimpled effect to create a smooth look.
“Cellulite is actually caused by factors outside a patient’s control,” Dr. Stevens says. “Many believe it’s a fat problem that can be addressed through diet and exercise. There are countless treatments that claim to get rid of cellulite, but these other treatments—massage, external energy devises, creams and lotions—can only treat cellulite superficially by working at the skin’s surface. These treatments require either daily or weekly applications, and results are often inconsistent.

“Because the area is numbed with a local anesthetic, there is minimal discomfort during the procedure,” Dr. Stevens says. “You may feel a light pressure, but it is a mild sensation. Following a Cellulaze cellulite laser treatment, you may experience some aches, much like after a physical workout. On average, the treatment takes about two hours to perform.”
