Light Up The World!
(I took this picture of a happy couple strolling in K-Town 32nd Street post-hurricane.)
As I write this in a building that has been taken over by a power outage, I think about light, and how we take the presence of light for granted.
New York has been taken over by a kind of monster hurricane that is taking its toll on everyone — including myself. Until things return to normal we are compromised: showering in the dark, subsisting on food that does not need to be refrigerated, and trying to get by without electricity.
But I’m not waiting for the zombie apocalypse. Well, at least not yet.
Today was Day 2 of Power Outage Armageddon, but I said — to hell with it.
I got dressed and then decided to put on some make-up. If the world is coming to an end — I might as well put on my best face.
Putting on a flawless complexion seems to be out of step In a faulty, compromised world where everyone is toughing it out right now. But with the help of the Liz K color veil (BB cream) in natural beige from WishTrend, I really did put my best face on. In fact, I glowed.
Which made me smile, and, in a way, helped me to be the light I wanted to see on this dark, damp day in NYC.
I LOVE K-Town! Great area for pics!
The couple in the picture looks like they just had 6 hours of blackout sex!
