Kelly Wearstler’s Rhapsody Book Launch

To kick off Fashion Week, interior and fashion designer Kelly Wearstler had a fete to celebrate her 4th book, Rhapsody, which was held at the Rug Company Showroom in Soho which carries some of Wearstler’s work. Known for designing iconic hotels like the Viceroy in Santa Monica and Avalon in Beverly Hills, her style has a distinctive retro post modern Californian feel.

Rhapsody offers a look into Wearstler’s glamorous world, profiling in detail her latest residential designs, along with her creative process. Inspired by the popularity of her blog, “My Vibe, My Life,” it takes a look behind the scenes to watch her at work, whether creating sculpture at her metal foundry or shopping at auction houses, to reveal the myriad inspirations that fuel her imagination and her dazzling design work.
