French Fashion House Promod to Launch in the US

With over 1000 stores around the world, France’s most famous fast fashion retailer Promod, “French for Fashion,” is set to launch in the US this Fall with 7 flagship stores on the East Coast, giving us a taste of French fashion for less. From their first store launched in 1975, in the North of France, until today, they have rapidly expanded to over 53 countries around Europe, the Middle East and most recently in Asia including China, Vietnam, India and Indonesia.

Known for their on trend, feminine, modern and affordable fashion, the customer tends to be young, fashion conscious women, age 20-35, with 1500 new items per season giving the total look head to toe, with a product turnover every 2 weeks.

For Fall 2013, they were inspired by Folk- taking cues from the handcrafts and patterns from Central America, Cheyenne American Indians and Eastern European Countries. A continuation of the trends seen at Coachella with earthy shades, embellished with jacquard and tapestry woven with highly visual prints and embroideries, along with influences of the Cheyenne American Indian patterns, and the romantic silhouettes and hand cross stitching from Romania and Hungary.

A favorite trend for Fall is also their Dark Animalier with bold black and white animal prints punctuated with accents of gold and green.

While the major metropolitan cities have to wait, stay tuned for the opening in Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY this Fall…

For now, here’s a sneak peek at their Fall collection.
