An Oasis of Beauty at Birchbox Local
Looking back at this season’s best beauty events, I am still coveting many of the products discovered at Birchbox’s blogger event at the pop-up Birchbox Local during Fashion Week. Beauty aficionados and product junkies gathered together to indulge in sweet treats and drinks while getting pampered at the various vanity stations highlighting products from all my favorites including Juice Beauty, Pur Minerals, Kerastase, Ruffian, Smashbox, Benefit, and many more.
After receiving a fabulous blowout, a massage from the luxurious Tiossan Dakar body care company, and a makeup touch up by Pur, I headed downstairs to enjoy the lounge and learned more about Birchbox and all their exciting selections of makeup, skincare, hair, body and lifestyle products available for purchase. For those of us that aren’t subscribers to this amazing company, it sorts through a plethora of products offering the latest and greatest brands based on your preferences for a customized monthly delivery service allowing you the benefit of discovering and exploring new products and shopping online at your convenience for the full size while getting recommendations and additional information from their beauty editors. Shopping for beauty and makeup has never been more fun!
After making use of their recharge stations and photo booth, the pampering continued with a sparkling manicure and stop at the Benefit Brow Bar where my brows were waxed, tweezed and reborn by their fabulous specialists.
The highlight of the day however was the “Build Your Own Birchbox” experience where we could select from 2 walls of sample size products, or as Birchbox has appropriately name it the “oasis.” Samples of every kind like Mally’s Beauty Age Rebel Waterproof Shadow Stick, Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow, Pur Minerals Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mud Masque, DDF eye cream, Dr Bradt Exfoliator, as well as a myriad of beautiful nail lacquers and hair products, something for everyone. I continue to use some of these great products and cant wait to discover what is in store for my upcoming monthly boxes!
