The Sunday buzz says Manny Pacquiao may be a bit down on his luck. Seems a strange rumor to be spread given this personality’s stature, not only in the sports world but as a celebrity in his own right, especially in his home country of The Philippines.

But pundits are promising this Asian is, well, broke. Or getting there. Apparently,Manny Pacquiao is a spend-a-holic, buying everything in sight and giving away trips and other enticing treasures to those who surround him.

One person who should be in the know with the Pac-Man is his trainer, Freddie Roach, who sorts out Pacquiao’s financial situation and how handily he plunks down cash at every occasion, by saying:

“He’s broke because of that and all the people he flies around to his fights. He goes through money like you wouldn’t believe. He can’t say no…. Of course he’ll have to keep fighting. He does now. He won’t be able to stop. But it’s his life.”

Still, just by cashing in on the wealth this famous boxer makes in the many purses he takes should be enough to keep him flush. Or so you would think. And then there are those singing gigs that Manny Pacquiao loves so much. And that his audience, though not necessarily thrilled with the way he croons, are just happy about just to be in his presence.
