Beautiful Tresses: Commisso and Company Media Event

Recently I had the pleasure of getting a hair cut and conditioning treatment from Commisso and Company Hair Salon at their press event here at the Wella Studio in New York City. It was such a pleasure meeting the team from Commisso and Company and had the opportunity to learn about their great history and how they founded their impressive modern looking 5,000 square foot salon in Port Washington, Long Island. Having had grown up on Long Island myself, was so pleased to see a local family business develop into a luxurious and well cared for establishment.

It all started many years ago when couple Tony and Ida passed down the tools of the trade to their three sons Dominic, Carlo, and Marco known as the Commisso Brothers, each brother with a different expertise working together to grow their business. Carlo and Marco handle all the training of employees and other day to day duties in the salon while Dominic handles all the marketing for the salon. Not only is Commisso and Company a full service hair salon they recently partnered with JNK Skin products to offer waxing services, facials, eyelash extensions and more skincare services to their clientele. The salon also features all state of the art equipment, and looks impeccably clean with an airy spacious layout and beautiful natural lighting which is so important when dealing with coloring and salon services in general.

What most impressed me about the Commisso team was their friendliness and attention to detail. Dominic who did an wonderful job cutting and styling my hair was sure to listen to all my concerns and paid close attention to the look I had requested, while also giving his professional input and advice. It’s special care like this which make the foundation for a great salon and happy clients! It’s no wonder they have such a great clientele and long-time loyal clients who keep coming back.
