Marisa Sung’s Rules of Etiquette for the Modern World Number 17
Don’t play golf at a Charity Tournament unless you have had at least a few lessons.
When I invite you to a charity golf outing and we are on the same team, don’t accept unless you have a basic knowledge of the sport. I began to wonder if I had done anything mean to this woman because more than a few times when she was up, the ball barely missed my head and I was standing in the shade. Which brings me to the next point. When you are playing at a charity golf tournament, you are not protected from a legal standpoint. It’s pretty much play at your own risk, and risky it was!!! Very easy to pull an Elin Nordegren and get away scot free. Come to think of it, there are a few people from my past who I would love to bring along. (Just Kidding Of Course) As delightful an individual as I am, I have managed to acquire a few enemies along the fairway. Get it?? There were more female amateurs than one could ever worry about. Take a lesson, please. At least learn how to swing correctly so that you will hit the ball in the proper direction. It is so not “cute” or “cool” to swing the club like a bat. Only Korean Girls need apply. 🙂
