When a relative and/or friend promises you their “fortune” upon their death, they will go on forever, have nine lives and treat you like their slave throughout their living days! Trust me, it is a control game. If they were serious about it, you would get it while they are alive. If they threaten to disinherit you for any reason, you weren’t going to get a dime anyway and they used the money to control you and others. The best thing in the world is to become successful on your own and acquire what I like to call “fuck you” money!! 🙂 The moment you could care less and have your own resources is the moment that they stop preying on you. This also happens in Corporate America with business owners/bosses. I once worked for a business owner years ago who added more than what I was earning in a year to my salary in less than 2 months. I thought he was too good to be true as well as the job! Guess what?? It was too good to be true because in the end you get screwed and they disappear with not a scratch on their back! And I fell into the trap-I put up with an abusive member of his immediate family because I was too scared to lose the money. If it wasn’t for the money, I would have let this person have what he/she deserved!! It is a sick game that rich people love to play including certain relatives of mine. They want to use that to control your behavior and decisions just like a piece of cheese is used to attract a mouse to the trap! Don’t fall into the trap-it isn’t worth it. The greatest part of getting older is the experience and wisdom that comes with it!
