beautypress NYC Spotlight Day
Once again, beautypress succeeded in bringing together beauty brands, editors, and industry insiders for their highly anticipated fifth and final NYC Spotlight Day for 2014 at Midtown Loft & Terrace. This is an event I look forward to where I always discover new brands and exciting products. 11 brands ranging from from hair care, skin care, cosmetics and fragrance showcased their latest product launches while sharing the inspiration and story behind each collection. It was the perfect setting to catch up with fellow bloggers and acquaintances while meeting with the owners and faces behind the brands. In between exhibitors, Primp and Polish (www.primpandpolish.com), a nail salon known for their decadent and trendy nail designs, treated us to gel manicures and nail art, leaving our nails looking as exciting and fun as our time at beautypress Spotlight Day!
Here are some of the highlights and favorites with some information about each exhibitor:
Absolument Parfumeur
An interesting fusion of fragrance and history, with a splash of liquor! Pascal Rolland, founder of the Liquoristerie de Provence, re-introduced the infamous Absinthe liquor in France, in 1999, after an 84 year old ban. Based on the fascination of the Absinthe flavor by his customers, Pascal Rolland decided to create his first perfume Absolument Absinthe, thus becoming the first liquor-maker perfumer.
