Elin Nordegren broke the silence on Tiger Woods for the first time

Elin Nordegren broke the silence on Tiger Woods for the first time since their media-splattered split in 2010, saying things are “really good” between her and her ex-husband, PEOPLE magazine reports.

“I have moved on and I am in a good place,” Nordegren told the magazine. “My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good —?? we really are —?? and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father.”

Not to say that Nordegren wasn’t devastated when news of the golfer’s serial infidelities surfaced in late 2009, leading to the announcement of their divorce the following year.

“I’m not going to deny that I went through the wringer,” the 34-year-old told the magazine. “But I don’t think I doubted we’d end up here. That was always my dream, that the kids can have two loving parents that show respect for each other. And I feel that’s what they have.”

Nordegren, who recently graduated from Rollins College with a psychology degree, told PEOPLE she and Woods live just 25 minutes away from each other in South Florida, and meet regularly in their shared custody of their two kids, ages 5 and 6.

A child of divorced parents herself, Nordegren told the magazine she always knew she and her ex-husband would end up on good terms.

That good will apparently extends to Woods’ current flame, Lindsey Vonn, as well. Recent reports have also suggested Nordegren has become chummy with the alpine skier.
