Brighten up… Spring has sprung!
THE RETURN OF COLOR
SPRING HAS SPRUNG! As you shed your heavy winter coats, be sure to shed your dark winter makeup hues! Brighten up your face with some bold accents of color.
Spring is the perfect time to try beautiful vivid colors like Corals or Fuchsias on your lips.
· There are many variations on these two colors. Try using more pink-corals, peachy-corals or golden-toned-corals instead of a more saturated orange shade. This will give you a young fresh look, and they are also more wearable. EXAMPLES: Cle De Peau Lip gloss #6, Laura Mercier Lip gloss in Cancun Coral, Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur #59 Golden Melon, Chanel Lip Gloss in Coral Reef, Nars Lip Gloss in Sunset Strip, Estee Lauder Pure color #311 in Crystal Coral.
· For Fuchsia lips, try less-blue tone-fuchsias. EXAMPLES: MAC Lipstick Impassioned, MAC Lipstick in Girl About Town (this color is Magenta rather than fuchsia), YSL Rouge Pur #135, Armani in High color cream lipstick #26, Armani Hydrating Satin Lipstick #30, Estee Lauder Pure Color #325 Berry Fizz.
· If you’re not quite ready to try vivid colors, try using more vibrant, but soft soft neutral colors. EXAMPLES: YSL Rouge pure sine #6, MAC Lipstick in Angel, Dior Addict Ultra-Shine #222, Armani High Color Cream Lipstick #15.
Though smoky eyes were all the rage in the winter season, brighten up your look by trying clean, pastel colors on your eyes. This Spring season, you’ll see tons of delicious shades to choose from.
· Try an off-whites, peppermints, lime-greens, golden-yellows, peaches and salmon-pinks. Be sure to keep these pastels shades soft and sheered. · When you have a bold, vivid color on your lips, you never want to overkill the look by having eyes that are TOO bright!
