Over New Year’s weekend, actor Shah Rukh Khan joined the popular social

Over New Year’s weekend, actor Shah Rukh Khan joined the popular social networking site Twitter opening an account under the name “iamsrk.” The award-winning star was encouraged to join the site by his MY NAME IS KHAN director Karan Johar who is an avid user. Khan plans to communicate directly with his many fans via his Twitter account and already has sent out over a dozen tweets regarding his holiday weekend with his family and thoughts on his projects and upcoming schedule. Over 18,000 fans signed up to follow Khan in the first day and several thousand more are expected to follow in the days ahead.
