Lust Caution

Yesterday, I went to watch a movie called Lust Caution with my best friend, Silvia.

Before going to watch this movie, my classmates who had already watched this movie said that they could not breath anymore after the movie. Also, I wondered why the director could gain such high prestige from this movie.

After watching the movie, I know the answer. It is really amazing. As two of the my major subjects are Chinese Literature and history, I had read many books about the life of Chinese and the major event happened in that time about the occupation of Japanese after WWII. The director, showed a different face of the people in that time. And the story is sad but just explained why it could attract so many people.

A girl loves a people that she cannot love. I know Miss Wang had waited for a long time. She waited for the response of Kuang. Actually, Miss Wang ‘s background was very poor. Her mother was died, her father gave up her and went to British with his son only(it showed the tradition thinking of Chinese male in the fairness between boys and girls).She had no one to reply but Kuang. Hoverer, Kuang just put his attention on the country affairs. Once Kuang knew he loved Miss Wang and could not resist his fire, it was too late. The heart of Miss Wang was given to Mr.Yee, who trusted Miss Wang very much and even gave her those Mrs, Yee had not. Not only the ring , but also part of Mr.Yee heart.

For a Chinese, I knew everyone hate Japanese collaborator, but in this story, the role of Mr.Yee was the poorest .He had betrayed his country, so he needed to live under torment and danger for the rest of his life. Such kind of heart-hit feeling was not bearable for everyone.

All, in all, I appreciate and love the movie very much. After we finished the movie,Silvia and I had nothing to talk and different from usual. We were shocked. Because we were thinking, both of us were thinking about our country, love, human, sex…

until yesterday night, we started to discuss this movie.We hope or may be dream if there was a chancefor us to talk with Ang Lee.Haha….. I know iwas impossible.

P.S.Both of usethough the part about sex is too much .I understood it was needed to show the development of the story and thinking as well as test of trust between Mr. Yee and Miss Wang. But just personally,we thought 3 parts were Okay!
