A surprise visit by Aishwarya Rai added glamour to a press event Saturday evening to promote Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film ‘Raavan’.

She was not scheduled to be at the event in Mumbai because her travel plans were uncertain. She was in Paris earlier this week, where she wowed the world at large in a Elie Saab gown at a charity dinner organized by Longines, the international watch brand that she endorses.

The 36-year-old talked to her fans about Raavan over the radio.

Aishwarya and Abhishek are headed to London for their film’s premiere on June 16. The film is due for release on June 18.
