Don’t you think this is the year for Donald Trump’s Miss USA
Don’t you think this is the year for Donald Trump’s Miss USA to crown an Asian American as the winner? Last year’s winner, Rima Fakih, from Michigan, is Lebanese-American, which is technically Western Asian American but the media considers her Arab-American, mostly, it seems, for political reasons.
Meet Kelleen Lim Chea, representing Anaheim in Miss California USA 2011 and 1 of 10 Asian American women out of 200 vying for the title of Donald Trump’s Miss California USA!!
Her ethnic background is Cambodian, Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese-American; she represents the multiculturalism of California. Coming from a family who immigrated into America to live the American dream, Kelleen was raised to embrace all opportunities given and to be thankful for such blessings along the way. She is the first generation in her family to graduate from a 4-year university.
She graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in June 2010 where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry. Initially, her plan was to go to medical school after her undergraduate studies to become a successful Dermatologist. Although, her passion discovery for creativity awakened her entrepreneurial spirit with a business savvy twist. This awakening has led her to the path of Miss California USA 2011.
