Composer AR Rahman to perform at Oscars
AR Rahman is all set to perform his famous song Jai Ho during Oscar night with singer Sukhwinder Singh. The duo have been invited by the Academy Award bosses to perform the Golden Globe winning song on the prestigious awards night of Feb 22 in Los Angeles. A source reveals, “Rahman had called up Sukhwinder, telling him that the authorities of the Academy Awards had asked him to open the ceremony. Rahman asked Sukhwinder to prepare himself for another live performance. Nothing new in that, except, this time, it would be for the Oscars! Gulzar, who has written the song, is likely to make an appearance on the awards night too.”
The source continues, “Rahman had called up Sukhwinder, telling him that the authorities of the Academy Awards had asked him to open the ceremony.
Sukhwinder Singh is quite excited about the performance and says, “I’m waiting for an official confirmation, till then I cannot comment on it.”
