Woo Making Hard Boiled 2

John Woo’s production company Lion Rock Entertainment is developing a big screen sequel for classic actioner Hard Boiled.

The story revealed that Jeremy Passmore and Andre Fabrizio are writing an adaption of the game John Woo Presents Stranglehold, which was an official sequel to Hard Boiled.

The game saw Chow Yun-Fat reprise his role as iconic, baby-holding detective Tequila as he continues to battle criminals in Hong Kong. The fact that American authors are on board has lead to speculation that this sequel might be in English, and set in the U.S.

The original Hard Boiled is considered one of the greatest action films ever made, with the extended gunfight in a hospital entering into movie folklore.

Watch the history making scene below. Tequila, a hard boiled cop from the Hong Kong police force, & Alan, the undercover, have tracked the Gun Runners back to the hospital, which in turn, has been taken under siege. They must infiltrate the gang & save the hostages.
