An 11-member, Asian-American family partnership today claimed the $85.7 million Powerball jackpot through a local attorney.

The winning ticket for the multi-state lottery game was purchased July 31 in Baton Rouge.

Attorney George Bayhi said the Baton Rouge-based family members – made up of local business owners, professionals and college students – will share the one-lump sum payment option, which amounts to $45.77 million.

The jackpot is the second-biggest Powerball prize won in Louisiana.

The shared winners, who appear to have traditional Vietnamese surnames are:

Hieu Van Nguyen, Hanh Hong Thi Nguyen, Steven Phuc Nguyen, Tuong Van Nguyen, Anthony Loc Nguyen, Helen Huyen Nguyen, Toan Thanh Nguyen, Madeleine Trang Nguyen, Duc Huynh Ngo, My Ngoc Quang and Hue Thi Vu.

He said the family has been in Baton Rouge for about 20 years and that they are all legal U.S. citizens.
