Michelle Obama gets Asian-ed out

The NY Times is reporting on Michelle Obama’s "kooky combo".

The First Lady, it would appear, is giving far more attention to her makeup and hair than she did during the inauguration. Today, for a visit at the Royal Opera at Covent Garden, she snapped a patchwork Junya Watanabe cardigan over a teal Jason Wu cocktail dress with fluting at the waist (plus teal Jimmy Cho heels). This is the first time, as far as I can tell, she has thrown a non-American designer into the mix. Mrs. Obama’s love of cardigans–she had on a J. Crew number the other day–could propel itself into something camp. This kooky combo is the opposite of nonchalance.
